Several weeks before the 2014 Geneva Motorshow, Aston Martin announced the launch of the N430 version of its iconic V8 Vantage. Built to celebrate the Vantage’s success at the Nürburgring 24 hour race and ‘VLN’ endurance series, the car in race trim would actually go on to win its class at the 2015 24hr event.
Based on the V8 Vantage S, the N430 maintained its uprated 4.7 litre V8 producing 430bhp and 361lb ft of torque as well as sports suspension and steering. In addition, the N430 also benefitted from a host of cosmetic updates including Club Sport Graphic Packs and new ten-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels.
The end result was a sensational sports car built from an exhaustive motorsport program and the DNA of a race winner. In the words of then Director of Product Development at Aston Martin Ian Minards, “the N430 is all about bringing track-honed excitement to the road in an accessible, emotionally engaging, and authentically 'analogue' way.”
