At the Frankfurt motor show in 2009, Ferrari released its latest mid-engine sports car and the successor to the F430…. the 458 Italia. Powered by the scintillating 4.5 litre V8 F136 powertrain, the 458 was a huge leap forward over its predecessor.

The latest E-Diff and F1-Trac stability traction control armed the chassis with cutting edge technology while the introduction of a double clutch gearbox meant not only lightening quick gear changes but also an increased usability in day to day driving. The Pininfarina body was capable of producing 360kg of downforce while the dynamic winglets integrated into the front air intakes dropped by 20mm at speed to reduce turbulence.
